It began as a fairly ordinary day, but no day needs to be ordinary. I'm on the six floor of a block of appartments sitting on my balcony and not much is happenning. It's hot!
" I've only just learnt to fly... my baby downy feathers are still rather embarrassingly sticking out of my flight feathers... mum said stay at home... it's too hot to fly... I was longing to go flying so off I went... everything was going absolutely fine until I sort of got into a bit of a stall doing wing-overs in turbulence from a building... and the sea-gulls laughed at me... anyway I did a sort of controlled landing (crash) onto the rail of a balcony... sort of bounced off it as I was going too fast... landed on my arse on the hard floor... stood up... shook myself... looked around... and tried to look as if nothing had happenned other than a perfectly controlled landing".
"Anyway... I stood there for a while while this monster... friendly monster... pointed this black thing with a large shiny eye at me that made clicking noises... I'm kind of handsome really... well I'm off... it was nice knowing you".
It was an extraordinary day when a little bird landed (crashed) in front of me, was not frightened, stayed long enough for me to go inside get my camera, crouch down on my knees to be at his level, 17 - 85 mm lens so I had to get close, take a few snaps before he flew off.
Live the day... expect diddly-squat... be surprised... be open minded... don't be too serious...
